Love in Time of a Pandemic

At the beginning of this year, no one expected a whole pandemic would take over our lives. Literally, the world stopped in her tracks and for a second, it was pure confusion. Weddings were postponed, celebrations canceled, venues closed, planners & designers alike, halted in their tracks. But one thing we learned was PIVOTING. Pivoting in business is the concept of shifting to a new strategy. And COVID-19 forced many in the industry to do just that. From grand-scale events, to intimate even micro events. As was the case for the Thompson's in Pittsburgh, PA.

The Thompson's Wedding was originally slated to be a 200 person wedding. As this pandemic continued to cause destruction, the couple like many others, we're unsure of what would come next. By the time we realized that this pandemic wasn't going anywhere, we also realized a 200 person wedding was NOT happening this year.

But Bride & Groom were determined to get married on the day. They told everyone not to come and they would get married with their parents in tow. As planners/sisters of the bride myself and Kim of Beau & Events were determined to make it there that day. We planned with the groom as to how this would happen. Up until two days ago, the Bride still didn't know. To say the Bride was surprised is an understatement. She was SHOCKED, and it made the day even sweeter. August 8th, 2020, Mr. & Mrs. Thompson said their I Do's in front of their nearest and dearest. Despite how intimate it was, it's a day that will not be forgotten. So congratulations to the Thompson's. We wish you infinite years of love and
